Box Score Cedarville (OH) University broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Pitt-Johnstown softball team, 7-6, Friday afternoon in Clermont, Fla. Pitt-Johnstown fell to 1-6.

Taylor Hoover's first inning single scored
Morgan Cannin to give Pitt-Johnstown a quick 1-0 lead, but Cedarville came back with three runs in the second and one more in the fourth to go up 4-1.

Pitt-Johnstown came back with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth inning to knot it at four.Â
Ashley Shor's base hit in the fifth chased home
McKenna Kern, and
Amanda O'Toole drove home a pair on the Pitt-Johnstown sixth to tie it up.

However, Cedarville answered with three more in the sixth to rebuild its lead to 7-4. Pitt-Johnstown scored two in the top of the seventh on Shor's RBI fielder's choice and
Montana Mang's RBI double, but it wasn't enough.

O'Toole finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI, while Shor also drove in two for Pitt-Johnstown. Mang doubled, singled and drove in two, and Hoover had two hits. Pitt-Johnstown also got doubles from
Kayla Luprek and Alessa Morrison.

Melissa Wagner surrendered seven runs (4 unearned) on five Cedarville hits to fall to 0-5. Wagner also struck out three.

Pitt-Johnstown will wrap-up its Spring Trip to Clermont, Fla. against Wayne State (Neb.) University and Mercy (NY) College on Saturday.Â
