Wayne State (Neb.) University scored three runs in each of the first and third innings on its way to handing the Pitt-Johnstown softball team an 8-1 loss, Saturday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.  Pitt-Johnstown dropped to 1-7.
 
After falling behind, Pitt-Johnstown scored its lone run of the game when McKenna Kern scored from third on a Wayne State error in the fifth inning.
 
Ashley Shor accounted for Pitt-Johnstown only hit of the game.
