Allessa Morrison and
Kelsey Feeney each had two hits, but Lock Haven University dealt the Pitt-Johnstown softball team, 4-0 and 4-1 PSAC Central Division losses, Friday afternoon in Lock Haven. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 6-13 overall and 3-3 in the PSAC Central.

In the opener, the Bald Eagles climbed out to a 2-0 third-inning lead, before adding two more runs in the fifth to set the final at 4-0.

Lock Haven pitcher Bekah Slattery held Pitt-Johnstown to just two hits, singles by
Morgan Cannin and
Taylor Hoover, on her way to the complete-game shutout. Slattery also fanned eight and didn't allow a walk.

Melissa Wagner surrendered all four runs, but just one earned, on seven hits in the circle for Pitt-Johnstown. Wagner struck out nine and walked three.

In the nightcap, Lock haven held a 4-0 advantage in the sixth inning before
Ashley Shor's RBI single scored Morrison to get Pitt-Johnstown on the board. However, that was as close as it would get.

Morrison and Feeney each had a single and a double for Pitt-Johnstown, while
Marley Elbin and Shor collected a hit apiece.

Wagner took her second loss of the day after giving up four runs (1 earned) on six hits. She also struck out seven and walked none.

With the sweep, Lock Haven improved to 21-9 overall and 4-2 in the PSAC Central.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to Lock haven University for a PSAC Central doubleheader on Friday, before hosting a conference doubleheader against Bloomsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Richland Elementary School.Â
