Montana Mang collected three hits and drove in two, and
Allessa Morrison added a pair of RBI to lead the Pitt-Johnstown team to a 3-2 and 5-3 PSAC Central Division doubleheader sweep at Clarion on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown improved to 10-19 overall and 7-9 in the PSAC Central.

In the opener, fell behind 2-0 after five innings but score three runs in the top of the sixth to earn the win.

Trailing 2-0 in the sixth, Pitt-Johnstown charged back. Morrison doubled to lead off the inning and scored on
Taylor Hoover's triple to center field to get Pitt-Johnstown on the scoreboard.Â
Ashley Shor's fielder's choice plated Hoover with the go-ahead run, before Shor scored from third on a wild pitch.

That's all Pitt-Johnstown starter
Melissa Wagner would need. Wagner, who tossed the complete-game, held the Golden Eagles scoreless over the final two innings to preserve the win.

Wagner allowed two earned on 12 hits to improve to 4-14. Wagner also struck out seven and walked two.

Hoover went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, while Morrison doubled for Pitt-Johnstown.Â
Morgan Cannin,
Marley Elbin, Mang, and Morrison also had base hits.

Taylor Nonnenberg homered and doubled, and Paige Baker had two hits for Clarion.

Kira Smith suffered the loss after giving up three runs on six hits in seven innings.

In the nightcap, Pitt-Johnstown scored four runs in the third inning and held on for the 5-3 win.

Amber Maurer's RBI ground out in the third gave started the scoring for Pitt-Johnstown. Mang's double chased home Cannin, and Morrison followed with a double of her own that scored Elbin and Mang to make it 4-0.

The Golden Eagles answered with two runs in fourth and one more in the fifth, but Mang's RBI single in the seventh gave Pitt-Johnstown an insurance run.

McKenna Kern had two hits, and Cannin and Elbin each singled for Pitt-Johnstown.

Emily Moore held Clarion to three runs (2 earned) on four in seven innings in the circle to raise her record to 5-6.

Nonnenberg banged out two more hits for the Golden Eagles. Sarah Gossard took the loss for Clarion. Gossard gave up five runs (4 earned) on eight hits in the complete-game.

With the losses, Clarion fell to 3-28 overall and 1-15 in the PSAC Central.

Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2016 regular season with conference doubleheaders against Indiana (PA) on Friday at V.E. Erickson Field on Friday and Bloomsburg on Saturday at Richland Elementary School.Â
