Montana Mang had two doubles and drove in a pair, but Bloomsburg University ran its winning streak to 13 straight games by sweeping the Pitt-Johnstown softball team 7-2 and 8-2 in PSAC Central-play on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 6-15 overall and 3-5 in the PSAC Central Division.

In game one, Mallory Tomaschik held Pitt-Johnstown to just two hits, and Erica keen and Emily Mayhew each hit homeruns to lead Bloomsburg to the 7-2 win.

Bloomsburg jumped out to a 2-0 second-inning lead on RBI singles from Natalie Quinlan and Valerie Carcasses.

Keen's three-run homerun off of
Melissa Wagner in the Huskies' half of the fifth inning increased it to 5-0.

Pitt-Johnstown answered with two unearned runs in the sixth.Â
Morgan Cannin walked and eventually scored on
Marley Elbin's ground ball that was misplayed by Quinlan, before an error by Bloomsburg right fielder Mayhew allowed Elbin to score.

However, Mayhew belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth and the Huskies went on the victory.

Pitt-Johnstown managed just two hits off of Tomaschik, a second inning double by
Taylor Hoover, and a fifth inning single by from
Kelsey Feeney.

Tomaschik tossed a complete-game, allowing two unearned runs on just two hits. She also walked one and fanned nine.

Wagner took the loss after giving up seven runs on 11 hits in the circle for Pitt-Johnstown.

In the nightcap, Bloomsburg jumped on Pitt-Johnstown starter
Emily Moore for six first inning runs on its way to completing the sweep with the 8-2 win.

Sarah Bortner drove in a pair, while Tomaschik, Quinlan, and Taylor Winkelman had RBI singles, and Maggie Hall added a sacrifice fly in the Huskies' seven-hit, six-run first inning.

Pitt-Johnstown came back with two runs in the third on Mang's two-run double that scored Elbin and Cannin.

However, Mayhew's second homer of the day, a two-run shot to shot to right-center in the third extended the lead to 8-2.

Cannin went 3-for-3 with a walk, and Mang had two doubles and accounted for both of Pitt-Johnstown's RBI.Â
Allessa Morrison,
Ashley Shor, and Elbin also had hits for Pitt-Johnstown.

Moore surrendered eight earned runs on 11 Bloomsburg hits in six innings.

Bortner got the victory for Bloomsburg after allowing two runs on eight hits. Bortner also struck out 10 and walked just one.

Bloomsburg improved to 27-4 overall and 8-0 in the PSAC Central.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to PSAC Central doubleheaders at Indiana (PA) on Friday and Mansfield on Saturday, before hosting a non-conference doubleheader against Edinboro next Sunday at 1 p.m. at Richland Elementary School.Â
