The Pitt-Johnstown softball season came to an end on Saturday with 8-1 and 8-0 PSAC Central Division losses to Bloomsburg at Richland Elementary School.Â
Marley Elbin had an RBI double in game one for Pitt-Johnstown, which closed out the year at 10-23 overall and 7-13 in the PSAC Central.

In game one, Elbin's double to left field scored
Amber Maurer to give Pitt-Johnstown a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but Bloomsburg answered with seven runs in the sixth and one in the seventh in the 8-1 victory.

Along with Elbin's RBI double, Pitt-Johnstown also got hits from
Kayla Luprek and Maurer.

After holding Bloomsburg scoreless through the first five innings,
Melissa Wagner allowed seven runs in the sixth inning to fall to 5-16.

Taylor Parker went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI to lead the Huskies. Parker also tossed a complete game in the circle, giving up just one run on three hits.

In game two, Bloomsburg scored five unearned runs in the first two innings and cruised to the 8-0 win in six innings. Elbin had two more hits, and Luprek added another hit for Pitt-Johnstown.

Bloomsburg starting pitcher Mallory Tomaschik had three hits and a pair of RBI at the plate. In the circle, Tomaschik gave up just two hits and didn't allow a run in five innings.

With the sweep, the Huskies improved to 39-6 overall and 19-1 in the PSAC Central.Â
