Goldey-Beacom (DE) College scored three goals in the first 33 minutes and went on to hold off the Mountain Cat men's soccer team, 3-1, in Thursday's 2016 season-opener at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.Â

Declyn Brown's header off of a cross from Chahin Aghrim in the sixth minute put the Lighting in front, before goals from Rerom Delys in the 32nd minute and Fernando Sanchez two minutes later increased it to 3-0.

Nate Kleya suffered the lss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown after facing 25 shots and allowing all three first half goals. Kleya also made eight saves. Suhail Bismilla earned the win for Goldey-Beacom after holding the Mountain Cats to just one goal on four shots.
Pitt-Johnstown continues a stretch of four consecutive home matches to start the season with PSAC matches against West Chester University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and East Stroudsburg University on September 10 at 1 p.m.
