University in Saturday's third round of the 2016 Courtyard by Marriott Classic in Tampa, Fla. The Lady Cats improved to 2-1.
Along with Wierman and Mahony,
Anna Johns had eight kills and two block assists, and
Maura Brehl tallied six kills, five digs, and a pair of block assists.
Allison Mondorff collected a match-high 40 assists and nine digs, while
Devan Orr had 20 digs and two service aces. Pitt-Johnstown also got 16 digs from
Delaney Roman in the sweep.
Katie Leidhold paced Franklin-Pierce, now 0-3, with 11 kills and six digs, and Abigail Sonuga had eight kills.
