
Daemen (NY) University got a pair of early goals from Noah Keem to help the Wildcats build a 4-0 halftime lead en route to a 6-1 non-conference victory over the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team, Tuesday afternoon in Amherst, Y.
Alex Laslavic scored his second goal of the season for the Mountain Cats, who dropped to 0-10-1 on the year.
Samuel Locker gave Daemen a 1-0 lead eight minutes into the match, before Keem added goals in the 12 and 14
th minutes to increase the lead to 3-0.
The Wildcats made it 4-0 in the 24
th minute, before Laslavic answered for Pitt-Johnstown on a penalty kick with 20 minutes left in regulation.
However, Daemen tacked on insurance goals from Finn Krueger and Craig Buchanan down the stretch to set the final at 6-1.
Nate Kleya took the loss for Pitt-Johnstown after facing 35 Daemen shots and making 18 saves in the first 79 minutes.
Jonathan Reboton played in net the final 11 minutes and allowed one goal and made one save.
Daemen's Mike D'Amato earned the win after seeing just six Mountain Cat shots, making two saves, and allowing one goal.
With the win, the Wildcats improved to 5-8-0.
The Mountain Cats visit East Stroudsburg for a PSAC match on Friday, before hosting a PSAC match against Seton Hill on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
