Bloomsburg University score five goals in five minutes midway through the second half to break open a 2-0 halftime lead in a 7-0 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cat men's soccer team, Saturday afternoon. Pitt-Johnstown's season came to an end at 1-15-1 overall and 0-11-0 in conference-play.
Bloomsburg opened the scoring in the 27
th minute on Brian Kilcoyne's deflection off of Carter Luckenbaugh's free kick, before Kevin Rodriguez finished a 3-on-2 break away three minutes later to give the Huskies a 2-0 halftime advantage.
However, it was all Bloomsburg in the second half. Cameron Cleary started the five-goal flurry on a free kick from 25 yards out in the 69
th minute. Kilcoyne, Mike Bazadona, Kristopher Gross, and Rodriguez all followed with goals for the Huskies in a five minute span to set the final at 7-0.
Nate Kleya surrendered all seven goals for Pitt-Johnstown. Kleya faced 34 Bloomsburg shots and made eight saves.
Taylor Lesage earned the shutout in net for Bloomsburg, which improved to 5-12-0 overall and 2-9-0 in the PSAC. Lesage saw just two Mountain Cat Shots and made one save.
