4584Caitlin Vrabel had 16 kills and five blocks to help the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team rally from a two-set deficit to defeat Seton Hill in Five sets, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.  Vrabel led five Mountain Cats who finished in double figures in kills.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 20-6 overall and 10-3 in the PSAC Central Division.

After dropping the first two sets 25-21 and 26-24, the Mountain Cats stormed back with 25-17, 25-22, and 15-12 to down the Griffins.

Pitt-Johnstown fell behind by three early in the first set, but rallied to tie it at seven, then go in front 9-8 on back-to-back kills by Cambria Wierman.  The Mountain Cats still held a 12-11 advantage, but Seton used a 13-3 run to take it to set point at 24-14.  Jillian Livorse's kill gave the Griffins a 21-14 lead, before Livorse's service ace took it to set point.  Pitt-Johnstown scored the next six points on Devan Orr's serve, but Seton Hill got a kill from Katie Wenson to finish the 25-21 win.

In the second set, Pitt-Johnstown opened-up three four-point leads with the last coming at 21-17 on Wierman's kill.  Pitt-Johnstown then held a 23-20 lead, but Seton Hill scored three straight points to tie on Maggie Murray's kill.  The Griffins forced extra points and took advantage of a Pitt-Johnstown attack error and a bad set to complete the come-from-behind, 26-24 victory.

The Mountain Cats responded with a convincing with a convincing 25-17 third-set win.  After Seton Hill scored three consecutive points to tie it on Viktoria Farian's kill, Pitt-Johnstown began to pull away.  Noelle Carota's kill, followed by a Seton Hill attack error gave the Mountain Cats a seven-point advantage.  Pitt-Johnstown increased it to 24-16, and Wierman's kill gave Pitt-Johnstown the set.

Pitt-Johnstown kept it going with a 25-22 win in the fourth set.  A pair of Seton Hill attack errors gave the Mountain Cats a 21-18 lead, but the Griffins clawed back with four straight points to go up 22-21 on Wenson's block and a Pitt-Johnstown attack error.  The Mountain Cats were able to outscore Seton Hill 4-1 down the stretch, including Marissa Erminio's kill, that wrapped-it up and forced a final set.

Kills from Maura Brehl helped the Mountain Cats jump out to a 5-2 lead in the fifth set.  The Mountain Cats maintained the three-point advantage at the midway point and increased it to 11-6 on another kill from Brehl.  Pitt-Johnstown completed the comeback with the 15-12 victory behind kills from Brehl and Erminio.
