Kelsey Feeney's two-run double in the third inning put gave Pitt-Johnstown a lead it would never give up in a 3-1 victory over Rockhurst (MO) University, Friday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.  Pitt-Johnstown made it two straight wins and improved to 5-3.
 
Pitt-Johnstown fell behind early, but Feeney's double in the third plated Morgan Cannin and Marley Elbin to make it 2-1.
 
Pitt-Johnstown added an insurance run in the fifth on Amanda O'Toole's RBI single.
 
Feeney finished with a double and two RBI, while Cannin had a hit, two walks, and scored two runs.  Pitt-Johnstown also got a hit and a run from Elbin.
 
Melissa Wagner improved to 3-2 in the circle after holding Rockhurst to just one run on five hits in the complete-game effort.  Wagner also struck out six.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will wrap-up its Spring Trip in Clermont, Fla. with games against Quincy (IL) and Northern State (SD) on Saturday, before traveling to Mount Aloysius College on Wednesday.  Pitt-Johnstown will then make its 2017 home debut with a non-conference doubleheader against Shippensburg on Saturday, March 18 at the V.E. Erickson complex.
