Pitt-Johnstown cut a two-run deficit in half with a run in the seventh inning, but that was as close as it would get, as Urbana (OH) University, held off Pitt-Johnstown, 5-4, Thursday evening in Clermont, Fla.  Pitt-Johnstown is now 3-3 to start the season.
 
Trailing 5-3 going into the seventh inning, Pitt-Johnstown got a single from Morgan Cannin and an RBI double from Marley Elbin to cut it to one.  However, Pitt-Johnstown was not able to complete the comeback and suffered the 5-4 loss.
 
Emily Moore took the loss after surrendering five runs on nine hits in six-plus innings.  Melissa Wagner came in in relief to get the final three outs.
 
With the victory, Urbana improved to 2-5.
 
Pitt-Johnstown continues its Spring Trip in Clermont, Fla. with single games against Ferris State (MI) and Rockhurst (MO) on Friday, before closing it out against Quincy (IL) and Northern State (SD) on Saturday.
