Notre Dame College (OH) scored a run in the bottom of the first inning and made it hold up in a 1-0 victory over the Pitt-Johnstown softball team, Thursday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.Â
Amber Maurer had three hits for Pitt-Johnstown, which slipped to 3-2.

Maurer went 3-for-3, while
Morgan Cannin had two hits, and
McKenna Kern had a hit to account for all six of Pitt-Johnstown's hits.

Melissa Wagner tossed all six innings in the circle for Pitt-Johnstown, but allowed the first inning run and suffered the loss to fall to 2-1. Wagner scattered five hits, didn't allow a walk and struck out one.

With the win, Notre Dame (OH) improved to 8-5.

Pitt-Johnstown continues its Spring Trip in Clermont, Fla. with single games against Ferris State (MI) and Rockhurst (MO) on Friday, before closing it out against Quincy (IL) and Northern State (SD) on Saturday.
