Indiana University (PA) scored a pair of runs in the top of the eighth and held on for a 13-12 win over the Mountain Cats in Saturday's Senior Day opener at Point Stadium. The Crimson Hawks completed the sweep with a 9-0 win in a five-inning shortened game due to weather. Pitt-Johnstown closed out the season at 18-28 overall and 8-20 in the PSAC Western Division.

In game one,
Joe Gagliardi's two-run single in the fourth inning scored
Brett Hileman and
Dan Clark to put the Mountain Cats in front 2-0.
IUP took the lead on Wes Carson's grand slam to left-center in the top of the fifth, but Pitt-Johnstown answered with six runs in its half of the fifth.
Zach Zinn's two-run-homer to right-center tied it, before the Mountain Cats added four unearned runs, including
Scott Kuczala's two-run triple that made it 8-4.
Four more runs in the Crimson Hawks' sixth knotted it at eight.
Pitt-Johnstown came back with three in the bottom of the sixth, but IUP tied it with three of its own in the top of the seventh.
However, Sepic's RBI double in the top of the eighth put IUP bank in front. Sepic eventually scored from third on a passed ball to make it 13-11.
Galiardi went 3-for-5 with two RBI, and
Mason Prickett had three hits, including a triple, and two RBI for the Mountain Cats. Appleby had three hits and scored two runs, Zinn belted a two-run home run and Kuczala drove in two runs.
Cam Hess took the loss after allowing a pair of runs (1 earned) on one hits in one inning of work. Rice started and surrendered four runs (3 earned) on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
In game two, IUP scored four runs in the top of the first off of
Tyler Black, then broke it open with four more in the fifth and went on to the 9-0 weather-shortened game.
IUP ended the regular season at 22-23 overall and 18-10 in the PSAC West.
