
Gannon University scored two first half goals and added one more in the second half to defeat the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team, 3-0, in Wednesday afternoon's PSAC match at Richland High School. The Mountain Cats fell to 1-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in PSAC-play.

Gannon kicked-off their scoring with a goal by Taylor Lewis in the 7
th minute on a through ball from Hannah Manczka that led to a breakaway to make it, 1-0 Gannon.

Gannon scored again in the 25
th minute on a goal by Sarah Kaiser that was assisted by Lewis to make it, 2-0 Gannon.

Gannon quickly made it 3-0 eight minutes into the second half on a header from Megan McCartney that was assisted by Kaiser. Â It was McCartney's second goal on the young season.

Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper
Leigh Appolonia took the loss for the Mountain Cats. Â Appolonia faced 24 shots, making 10 saves, while allowing three goals.

Gannon goalkeeper Danitza Indacochea earned the shutout win for Gannon to help the Golden Knights improve to 3-1-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the PSAC.

Pitt-Johnstown will be back in action on Saturday at 2:30 when it takes on Lock Haven University in a PSAC match at Richland High School. Pitt-Johnstown will then travel to Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University for a non-conference match Tuesday.
