
For the second time in a week, the Pitt-Johnstown volleyball team swept the West Liberty (WV) Hilltoppers. This time, the Mountain Cats got 11 kills from
Maura Brehl and nine kills from
Marissa Erminio in a 25-20, 25-13, 27-25 sweep to open the West Liberty/Wheeling Jesuit Crossover Tournament in West Liberty, W.Va. Pitt-Johnstown made it six consecutive wins and improved to 9-1.
Brehl finished with a match-high 11 kills and two blocks, while Erminio collected nine kills and nine digs to lead Pitt-Johnstown.
The Mountain Cats also got six kills and a block from
Caitlin Vrabel, five kills and a block from
Kendall Mahony, and four kills, 12 digs, and three blocks from
Cambria Wierman in the sweep.
Allison Mondorff had 22 set assists and seven digs, and
J.C. Longeville had three kills and 15 assists for Pitt-Johnstown.
Devan Orr tallied a match-high 26 digs.
West Liberty, which fell to 5-5 on the year, got seven kills and four blocks from Stephanie Leonard and five kills and four digs from Caitlin Clarke in the loss.
