Mario Ulizzi's goal with just over five minutes remaining in the first half proved to be the lone goal of the match and lifted California (PA) to a 1-0 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cats, Wednesday evening in California. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 2-12-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the PSAC.

Josh Zakrzewski in the 40th minute and the Vulcans made it hold up the rest of the way.
Zakrzewski faced 13 California (PA) shots, made four saves, and allowed the lone goal.
Lucas Exner made three saves in the first 82 minutes, and combined with Joseph Valeriano, who played the final eight minutes, to secure the shutout for the Vulcans.
California (PA) improved to 2-7-4 overall and 1-7-1 in conference-play.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC match against Millersville on Saturday at noon, before hosting a non-conference match against Roberts Wesleyan (NY) on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
