Notre Dame College (OH) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open a one-run game on its way to a 6-2 victory over the Pitt-Johnstown softball team, Monday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.
Taylor Hoover had two hits and drove in two for the Cats, who slipped to 0-3 to start the year.
Hoover went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI for Pitt-Johnstown.
Olivia Porter had three hits and scored a run, and
Morgan Cannin added a hit and a runs scored.
Kristen Coffay took the loss in her first collegiate start after surrendering three runs on nine hits in five-plus innings. Coffay also struck out four.
Samantha Frey allowed three runs in the Notre Dame sixth inning.
