The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat's softball team earned their first win of the season, in game two of the double header, when they defeated the St. Cloud (MN) State Huskies, 10-8 Wednesday afternoon in Clermont, Fla. The Mountain Cats improved to 1-5 on the year while St. Cloud State fell to 11-5.

The Huskies kicked off the scoring with four runs in the top of the First inning, before the Mountain Cats answered with three runs of their own in the bottom half of the first.

Pitt-Johnstown broke it open in the third inning.
Jade Stubblefield drew a lead-off walk, then
Kristie Radvan reached on a fielder's choice and
McKenna Kern was hit by a pitch.
Sydney Flinn hit an RBI single, followed by a
Morgan Cannin 2 RBI single to make it, 7-5 Mountain Cats.
Taylor Hoover added two more runs for the Mountain Cats with double to make it =, 9-5.

In the fourth inning, the Mountain Cats added another run when Stubblefield singled and eventually scored on a Cannin RBI single.

Offensively the Moutain Cats were led by Cannin, who finished the game going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Hoover finished the game going 1-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs

Emily Moore earned the win in the circle for the Mountain Cats. Moore went 5+ for the Mountain Cats, giving up six runs on nine hits and also struck out two.

Kristen Coffay came in in relief giving up three hits on two runs and striking out one.

The Mountain Cats take on Ursuline (OH) College tomorrow morning before game two against Trevecca (TN) University.
