Pitt-Johnstown senior, Sam Roberts scored her first goal of the season in the 85^th minute; assisted by Kyra Watkins to lead the Mountain Cats to victory over the Clarion Golden Eagles, Wednesday afternoon at Point Stadium. The Mountain Cats improved to 4-6-0 overall and 4-5-0 in the conference. Clarion fell to 2-7-0 overall and 1-7-0 in conference.
 
Leigh Appolonia earned the shutout win in net for the Mountain Cats. Appolonia faced 19 shots and made nine saves on the afternoon.
 
Brigid Stermel took the loss for the Golden Eagles. Stermel faced 12 shots, made four saves and gave up one goal.
 
The Mountain Cats return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Slippery Rock University, before hosting Shippensburg Oct. 6.
