Kia Clayton set new Pitt-Johnstown records in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump to lead the Mountain Cats at this weekend's Youngstown State (OH) University Indoor Track and Field Invitational.
In the Long Jump, Clayton's leap of 17'9.5" broke Michelle Kropelak's school record set in 2002 and qualified for the PSAC Indoor Championships. Clayton then broke her own record and placed third in the Triple Jump. Her jump of 39'2.25" was also a National qualifying and PSAC Indoor qualifying jump.
In addition,
Katie Lippincott's 5'1" jump in the High Jump qualified her for the PSAC Championships.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Bucknell University Bison Open on Friday and Saturday and to the Youngstown State Invitational on February 1 and 2.
