
After opening the season with a pair of games at the IUP Classic,
Head Coach Bob Rukavina and his Mountain Cat men's basketball team will make their 2019-20 home debut against Carlow University, Wednesday night in the Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Bob Rukavina, makes its 2019-20 home debut after splitting two games at the IUP IRMC/Hilton Garden Inn Classic over the weekend. After a 79-76 loss to Concord (WV) in Friday's season-opener, the Mountain Cats bounced back with a 78-68 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in Saturday's second round.
Joe Batt's game-high 18 points led four Pitt-Johnstown players who scored in double figures.
John Paul Kromka, the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week, had a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while
Caiden Landis had 12 points, and
Drew Magestro added 10 points for the Mountain Cats.
Josh Wise enters the game ranked 19
th on the Mountain Cat All-Time Scoring List with 1,201 points, 30 points shy of
Bill Luther (2010-14) for 18
th-place on the list.
Head Coach Tim Keefer's Carlow Celtics come in at 0-2 to start the year following a 79-56 loss to West Virginia Tech on November 5 and a 76-60 setback to Villa Maria (NY) on Monday.
Michael Trong scored 16 points and
Tré Harvey added 13 points to lead the Celtics on Monday.
Pitt-Johnstown has won all five meetings since the teams first met in 2014-15. Last season, the Mountain Cats earned a 129-69 win over the Celtics in Sports Center on November 28.
Jared Jakubick scored a game-high 21 points and Wise added 17 points to pace six Mountain Cats who scored in double figures.
Rece Henneman,
Tony Acrie, and Michael Truong all scored 10 points for Carlow.
The Mountain Cats continue a four-game home stand with a non-conference game against Ohio Dominican on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the sports Center, before opening conference play with PSAC Crossover games against East Stroudsburg on November 23 and Kutztown on November 24.
