Erin Carmody broke the Pitt-Johnstown single-match record with 46 digs, and
Tatiana Pitcher had a match-high 13 kills to lead the Mountain Cats to a four-set PSAC win at California (PA) in Saturday's season finale. Pitt-Johnstown ended the season at 16-13 overall and 8-11 in the PSAC Southwest Division.
After Pitt-Johnstown won the first two sets 25-16 and 30-28, California (PA) forced a fourth set with a 25-19 win. However, the Mountain Cats held off the Vulcans 25-21 to secure the victory.
Pitcher's 13 kills, seven digs, and two blocks paced three Mountain Cats who finished in double digits in kills.
Noelle Carota had 12 kills and 12 digs, and
Caitlin Vrabel 
finished with 12 kills and three blocks. Pitt-Johnstown also got five kills and three blocks from
Anna Johns, and four kills and three blocks from
Lauren Gechter.
Pitt-Johnstown's
J.C. Longeville led the way with a match-high 43 sets assists and nine digs, while Carmody set the single match record for digs with 46 and added a match-high five service aces.
Molly Ayres also had nine digs and
Gabi DeRenzo had seven digs for the Mountain Cats.
Sarah Moehring's 11 kills and 21 digs, and Kaylin Burkey's nine kills led California (PA0, which ended its season at 12-15 overall and 7-12 in the PSAC Southwest.
