
Pitt-Johnstown belted four homeruns, including a pair from
Zach Zinn, in a 13-8 non-conference win over Lock Haven University, Tuesday afternoon at Point Stadium. Zinn went 4-for-5 with four RBI for the Mountain cats, who improved to 12-6.
Max Joseph's two-out triple in the top of the first scored Colby Hiddemen to put Lock Haven in front, but Pitt-Johnstown answered with
Lennox Pugh's sacrifice fly to knot it in its half of the first.
After the Bald Eagles added an unearned run in the second,
Tyler Smith quickly knotted it again with a solo homer down the left filed line.

Pitt-Johnstown belted two more homeruns in the third to take their first lead.
Jack Shirk led off the inning with a solo shot, and Zinn followed three batters later with a two-run homer over the left field screen that gave the Mountain Cats a 5-2 lead.
Three more runs in the bottom of the fourth extended it to 8-2.

Ben Briggs highlighted a four run Bald Eagles' inning that cut it to 8-6 and another run in the Lock Haven seventh made it 8-7.

However, Pitt-Johnstown tacked on five runs in the bottom of the seventh, including Zinn's second homer of the day, to rebuild the lead to 13-7, before the Mountain Cats went on to the 13-8 win.
Zinn went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers and four RBI, while
Owen McKeever doubled, tripled and drove in a run to lead Pitt-Johnstown.
Scott Thompson was 2-for-3, and Shirk and Smith bother homered.
Briggs earned his first collegiate win after pitching four innings in relief of starter
Christian Pfrogner. Briggs allowed four runs (2 earned) on six hits and struck out four.
Isaac Porter hit a homerun and drove in two and Demetrius Haskins had two hits and two RBI for the Bald Eagles.
Ryan Reicoff took the loss for Lock Haven after giving up six earned runs in 1 1/3 innings in relief.
With the loss, the Bald Eagles slipped to 6-7-1.
Pitt-Johnstown opens PSAC-play with doubleheader against Mercyhurst on Friday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium, before concluding the four-game series in Erie on Saturday.
