The Pitt-Johnstown softball team will host Lock Haven for a PSAC Central Division doubleheader, Saturday afternoon at V.E. Erickson Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Pitt-Johnstown, 15-13 overall and 5-5 in the PSAC Central Division under
Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora, suffered a 2-1 and a 12-6 loss in eight innings to Indiana (PA) on Thursday.
Jade Stubblefield had five hits, including a pair of doubles, a triple, and three RBI.
Carly Santillo added four hits and drove in two for the Mountain Cats.
Head Coach Kelly Shannon's Lock Haven Bald Eagles, 19-13 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC Central, earned a pair of 6-1 non-conference wins at Wilmington (DE) on Monday.
Becca Caputo had three RBI in the opener.
Amanda Criss drove in three, and Caputo added two more RBI in game two.
On March 27, Pitt-Johnstown opened-PSAC Central Division play with 1-0 and 6-4 losses at Lock Haven. In game one,
Mikayla Rupert's sacrifice fly in the fifth inning proved to be the game's lone run, and
Bekah Slattery tossed a complete-game shutout. In the nightcap,
Kristie Radvan went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, and
Stubblefield added two hits and drove in a run for the Mountain Cats.
Casey Carpenter homered, doubled and drove in two, and
Rachel Gricoski hit a solo home run for Lock Haven.
Pitt-Johnstown hosts a non-conference doubleheader against West Liberty (WV) on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at V.E. Erickson Complex, before traveling the PSAC doubleheaders at Bloomsburg on Friday and at Clarion on Saturday.
