
Mansfield belted four home runs, including three in game two, to sweep a pair of PSAC Central Division softball games from Pitt-Johnstown on Senior Day at V.E. Erickson Complex. The Mounties took game one, 5-0, and game two 5-2. Pitt-Johnstown is now 18-18 overall and 8-10 in conference-play.

In game one, Lacey O'Donnell's two-out double scored Joelle Snyder to give Mansfield a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
It stayed that way until the fifth when O'Donnell's base hit through the left side chased home Snyder from third to make it 2-0, before Cassidy Smith's three-run homer to center in the top of the seventh increased the Mountie's lead to 5-0.
Arianna Young did the rest in the circle for Mansfield. Young tossed a complete-game, shutout to improve to 7-5. Young scatter five hits, struck out seven, and walked one.
Cannin went 3-for-4, while
Kristie Radvan and
Lauren Gohacki each doubled for Pitt-Johnstown.
Kristen Coffay fell to 7-9 after allowing five runs (4 earned) on nine hits in seven innings. Coffay also fanned nine and walked three.
In the nightcap, Snyder belted the second pitch of the game over the fence in left-center to put the Mounties on top, 1-0.
Snyder added a two-run homer to right in the top of the third, and Hannah Breitigan connected for a two-run shot to center in the fourth to extend Mansfield's lead to 5-0.
Pitt-Johnstown took advantage of three Mansfield errors in the sixth and cut it to 5-1 when
Ali Belgiovane scored from third on a throwing error.
The Mountain Cats added one more in the seventh. Cannin led off with an infield single, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on
Olivia Porter's single to center.
However, Alexis Easling was able to get the final three outs to earn the complete-game victory and help Mansfield finish the sweep.
Cannin and Belgiovane each had two hits for Pitt-Johnstown, and Gohacki collected her second double of the day.
Alyssa Hileman pitched the first four innings and allowed five runs on six hits to fall to 6-4.
Ashley Pagliei tossed the final three innings and held the Mounties scoreless on four hits.
Deshae Jones had three hits, and Snyder had two hits, including a homer, and three RBI to lead Mansfield.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC Central doubleheader at Indiana (PA) on Sunday to wrap-up the season.
