The Pitt-Johnstown softball team will host a pair of non-conference games against Salem (WV) University on Tuesday, starting at 2 p.m. at V.E. Erickson Complex.

Pitt-Johnstown, 13-11 over under Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora, swept a pair of PSAC Central Division games at Mansfield on Saturday, before splitting two conference games with Bloomsburg on Sunday at V.E. Erickson Complex.  After dealing the Mounties 4-2 and 11-1 losses on Saturday, Pitt-Johnstown got three hits from Olivia Porter and a complete-game in the circle from Kristen Coffay in a 7-2 PSAC victory over Bloomsburg to open the doubleheader on Sunday.  The Huskies came back with a 3-0 win in game two.

Salem, under 11^th-year Head Coach Steve Potts, snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 8-22 with a 7-6, walk-off win in game two of a doubleheader against Kentucky State last Wednesday.  Sydney McPherson's RBI single scored Ki Johnson to cap a three-run rally that gave the Tigers the victory.

In the last meeting between the teams on April 12, 2017, Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Salem, W.Va. and came away with 6-2 and 9-1 wins.

Pitt-Johnstown will then host PSAC Central Division doubleheaders at V.E. Erickson Complex against Indiana (PA) on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m.
