Patrick Ahmed scored a pair of goals, and
Brady Brown added a goal and two assists to lead the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team to a 4-0 non-conference victory at Penn State-New Kensington in Thursday's 2019 season-opener.

It didn't take the Mountain Cats long to take the lead. Just over one minute into the match, Ahmed finished Brown and
Mitch Snowden's assist and Pitt-Johnstown held that 1-0 lead the remainder of the first half.

John Knox made it 2-0 off of another assist from Brown and Snowden five minutes into the second half.

Pitt-Johnstown increased it to 3-0 on Ahmed's second goal of the match, before the Mountain Cats set the final at 4-0 on Brown's header off of
Josh Briscoe's free kick.

Jonathan Reboton and
Sage Parsley combined for the shutout in net for the Mountain Cats, while Joshua Zakrzewski took the loss for Penn State-New Kensington.

With the loss, Penn State-New Kensington slipped to 0-2 to start the year.

The Mountain Cats will make their 2019 home debut on Wednesday with a non-conference match against Penn State-Greater Allegheny at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before hosting a non-conference match against Wheeling Jesuit (WV) on September 14 at noon.
