
Seventh-ranked Indiana (PA) shot 12 more free-throws and held a 15-point advantage from the line and was able to fend off Pitt-Johnstown, 100-93, in a match-up of the top-two teams in the PSAC Western Division, Wednesday night in the Sports Center.
Josh Wise's 26 points led four Mountain Cat double figure scorers.
IUP shot 25-28 from the line, while Pitt-Johnstown, 15-4 overall and 9-3 in the PSAC West, only shot 16 and made 10. Other than that, the Mountain Cats and Crimson Hawks were even. Pitt-Johnstown shot 56.3% (36-64) from the floor and 11-23 from behind the arc. IUP shot 56.4% (31-55) and 13-29 from 3-point range.
Wise connected on 9-14 from the field, including 6-8 from behind the 3-point line, to lead Pitt-Johnstown with 26 points.
John Paul Kromka had a double-double of 22

points (10-16 FG) and 11 rebounds, while
Fred Mulbah scored 19 points, matched his career-high with 11 assists, and made a game-high four steals, and
Drew Magestro scored 10 points.
IUP started fast and jumped out to a 12-2 lead on Malik Miller's 3-pointer.
Pitt-Johnstown battled back to knot it at 34 at the 3:34 mark of the opening half on a Magestro 3-pointer and a
Joe Batt layup, but the Crimson Hawks were able to rebuild the lead to seven and take a 45-40 advantage into the halftime break.

An 15-9 run to start the second half, capped by Ethan Porterfield's 3-pointer, increased IUP's lead to 11, before a pair of Shawndale Jones free-throws and an Anthony White 3-pointer made it 83-68 with 7:07 to play.
Another 3-pointer from Magestro got the Mountain Cats back to within 10 at 1:29, but IUP was able to hold on for the seven-point victory.
Armoni Foster match Wise with a game-high 26 points, including a perfect 12-12 from the line, to pace five IUP double figure scorers and help the Crimson Hawks improve to 16-1 overall and 11-1 in the PSAC West. Miller (22 points), Dave Morris (16 points), Jones (14 points), and White (11 points) also scored in double figures for IUP.
Pitt-Johnstown visits Seton Hill for a PSAC Western Division game on Saturday, before hosting a conference-crossover doubleheader with the women's team against Mansfield on Wednesday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Sports Center.
