John Paul Kromka, the reigning PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year, claimed his fifth Defensive Player of the Week Award this season when the conference office released this week's honorees on Monday.
In a pair of Mountain Cat games last week, Kromka averaged a double-double of 14 points and 10.5 rebounds, including 7.5 defensive rebounds per game. He also averaged two blocks, one assist, and one steal.
In Wednesday's 85-73 win over Seton Hill in the Sports Center, Kromka scored 20 points on 8-10 shooting and 4-5 shooting from the free-throw line. He grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds (5 defensive), had two blocks, two steals, and one assist.
Kromka then scored eight points, pulled down 10 defensive rebounds, blocked two shots, and dished out an assist in a 93-82 loss at seventh-ranked Indiana (PA) on Saturday.
