Neidig, Kost Score Goals in Mountain Cats’ 2-0 PSAC West Win at Seton Hill

Greensburg, PA

Neidig_Haley.JPGHaley Neidig and Morgan Kost scored first half goals just over a minute apart and that was all the Mountain Cats would need in a 2-0 PSAC Western Division victory at Seton Hill on Wednesday.  Pitt-Johnstown improved to 4-9-1 overall and 3-8-1 in the PSAC West.

Neidig's penalty kick goal 30 minutes into the match gave the Mountain Cats the early lead, before Kost finished Lydia Roman's cross just one minute later to make it 2-0.

Pitt-Johnstown's Sachi Negri earned the shutout in goal after facing nine shots from the Griffins and making five saves.

Kost_Morgan.JPGSeton Hill's Grace Kenyon suffered the loss in net after surrendering both goals.  Kenyon saw 14 Mountain Cat shots and made seven saves.

With the loss, Seton Hill dropped to 3-8-1 overall and 2-8-1 in conference-play.

Pitt-Johnstown returns home to host PSAC West matches against Mercyhurst on Saturday at noon and IUP on Wednesday at 4 p.m.  both games are scheduled to be played at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
