Head Coach
Mike Drahos brings a young Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team into the 2021-22 season and has been pick to finish seventh in the Western Division when this year's PSAC Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Thursday.
The coaches chose Gannon to win the PSAC West and Shippensburg to win the PSAC East.
A Mountain Cat team that earned a spot in the PSAC Tournament two years ago after going 16-13 overall and 11-11 in conference-play in 2019-20, will be led by sophomore guards
Olivia Fasick (10.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 4.1

apg.) and
Makalyn Clapper (5.8 ppg. 2.5 rpg, 48 steals), and sophomore forward
Ashley Norling (7.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg.). Pitt-Johnstown, which returns just three players from its roster from two years ago will be one of the youngest teams in the PSAC. Along with the three returning players, Coach Drahos will rely on Mansfield University transfer
Kendyl McKissock, along with four red-shirt freshmen and five true freshman to make contributions in 2021-22.
Gannon and Indiana (PA) each received four first-place votes and are ranked one and two in the PSAC West, while Shippensburg earned five of the nine first place votes to take the top spot in the PSAC East. Gannon was one of a few teams to play games in 2020-21, and were dominant, going 13-1 overall winning their last nine straight contests. IUP finished with the most wins in the league in 2019-20. The Crimson Hawks were 28-3 and 21-1 in league matchups.
