After nearly two years, the Pitt-Johnstown softball team will play a home doubleheader at V.E. Erickson Complex. The Mountain Cats are scheduled to host Edinboro University in Friday's PSAC and home-opener. Game times are slated for 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.

Head Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown team opened the season with a pair of non-conference losses at Fairmont State (WV) University last Friday. The Falcons took game one, 9-1, before earning an 8-7, nine-inning win in game two.
Taylor Mendicino collected five hits in the doubleheader, while
Bree Ginther added three hits, two RBI, and three runs for Pitt-Johnstown.
Edinboro, under 32
nd-year
Head Coach Dan Gierlak, will make its season debut on Friday after having last weekend's four-game, PSAC series against Seton Hill postponed.
Edinboro has won the last three meetings between the two teams and holds a 5-2 advantage in the series. On March 27, 2019, the Fighting Scots earned a 3-1 win and an 11-0, five-inning victory over the Mountain Cats at V.E. Erickson Complex.
Pitt-Johnstown will complete the four-game PSAC series in Edinboro on Saturday, before traveling to a non-conference doubleheader at Salem (WV) on Monday.
