Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown squad fell to 8-24 overall and 7-19 in the PSAC West after a pair of losses at California University (PA) on Monday. The Vulcans took game one, 5-1 and game two, 10-8.Â
Stacey Walling collected four hits and three RBI, and
Jade Stubblefield added four hits and a pair of RBI to lead the Mountain Cats.

Maria Taliani, the Golden Knights dealt IUP 8-0 and 5-4 losses in Erie on Friday, and 11-3 and 4-0 setbacks in Indiana on Sunday.

Prior to Thursday's games, Pitt-Johnstown and Gannon's only other meeting came on April 26, 2015 in Erie. The Golden Knight swept the Mountain Cats, 8-3 and 4-1.

Pitt-Johnstown will close out the 2021 regular season with a PSAC doubleheader at Gannon on Friday and a conference doubleheader against California (PA) on Sunday at 1 p.m. at V.E. Erickson Complex.
