The Pitt-Johnstown softball team will close out its PSAC Western Division four-game series against Indiana (PA) with a home doubleheader on Saturday at V.E. Erickson Complex. Game times are scheduled for 1:00 and 3:00 pm.

Coach Niki Cognigni-Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown team fell to 4-14 overall and 4-12 in the PSAC West after dropping 3-of-4 games to Mercyhurst. On Saturday,
Olivia Porter homered and drove in five to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 10-2, five-inning win to open the series. Mercyhurst answered with a 7-4 win in game two, before securing a 6-0 and a 3-2 walk-off win in Erie on Monday.Â
Ashley Pagliei pitched 12 innings in the circle on Monday held the Lakers to just three runs.

Indiana (PA), under third-year
Coach Shawna Bellaud, is 10-8 overall and 9-7 in the PSAC West after splitting a pair of non-conference games at Shippensburg on Tuesday. After suffering a 2-1 lost in game one, the Crimson hawks came back with a 3-0 win in game two.

IUP holds a 16-4 advantage in a series that dates back to 2015. In the last series in 2019, the Crimson took 3-of-4 from the Mountain Cats. On April 11, IUP earned 2-1 and 12-6 (8 Innings) wins at V.E. Erickson Complex. The teams split a pair of games in Indiana on April 28. Pitt-Johnstown won game one, 4-3, but the Crimson Hawks came back with a 4-0 victory in the nightcap.
