
Pitt-Johnstown wrestling coach
Pat Pecora, college wrestling's all-time winningest coach, earned induction his ninth hall of fame, the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, Thursday evening at Lemont Restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Pecora was joined by Jimmy `Mags´ Manganello as the 2021 inductees. In addition, the Hall of Fame also presented its annual awards...Joseph B Natoli Community Award-Mr. Terry Ranieri - Posthumously, Dominic T Roppa Memorial Award-Mr. Anthony Sanzo, Frank A Santamaria Lifetime Achievement Award-Mr. Tony DeNunzio Sr., Dan Marino Sr. Organized Labor Leader Award-Mr. Steve Catanese, and the Man Of The Year-Mr. Warren Ciabattoni.
Prior to the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, Pecora previously earned induction into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame-East Boro Chapter (1994), Cambria County Sports (1998) West Liberty State (W.Va.) College Halls of Fame (1998), Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame (2001), NCAA Division II Wrestling Hall of Fame (2003), Pitt-Johnstown Athletics Hall of Fame (2015), Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame (2016), and, Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame (2017).
