
The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team fell behind by four goals in Saturday's PSAC Wester Division match at Indiana (PA), then answered with second half goals from
Lydia Roman,
Emily Esser, and
Haley Neidig, before suffering a 5-3 setback. The Mountain Cats slipped to 2-6-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the PSAC West.
IUP scored four first half goals, including three by Hannah Scardina, to build a 4-0 halftime advantage.
Roman's goal three minutes into the second half got Pitt-Johnstown on the scoreboard.

After the Crimson Hawks made it 5-1 Scardina's fourth goal with just over 10 minutes to play, the Mountain Cats answered with goals from Esser and Neidig in the final minute to set the final at 5-3.
Alayna Burgamy got the start in net for Pitt-Johnstown and made one save and allowed one goal in the first 17 minutes.
Megan Giesey gave up a goal and made three saves in the next 45 minutes, before
Sachi Negri surrendered a pair of goals and made one save in the final 28 minutes.
Pitt-Johnstown outshot IUP, 22-13.

Four Crimson Hawks goalkeepers combined to hold the Mountain Cats to two goals, while making nine saves.
With the win, IUP improved to 3-2-1 overall and 2-2-1 in conference-play.
Pitt-Johnstown will host PSAC West matches against California (PA) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field and Edinboro on Saturday at 1 p.m.
