
It was a strong showing from the Mountain Cats at the 2022 Youngstown State University Collegiate Invitational this weekend. Pitt-Johnstown athletes reached Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying standards in four events at the meet.
Lydia Robling qualified for the PSAC meet in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.93 seconds. This effort landed Robling the fourth fastest PSAC time of the season across all teams. Robling also qualified for the conference meet as a part of the 4x400 meter relay team. The other members of the team were
Cassi Smith,
Kara McKenzie, and
Mayah Charity. This group clocked in at a time of 4:10.37. This was fast enough to earn them a 4
thplace finish and the 7
th time in the conference this season.
Kate Yahner hit the qualifying mark in pole vault. She set a height of 3.22 meters. This placed her in third for the meet and 9
th best in PSAC standings on the season.
Janiah Tutt rounded out the PSAC qualifiers with her 15
th place finish in the long jump. Tutt's best attempt on the day was 4.99 meters.
The Mountain Cats travel back to Youngstown, Ohio on the 28th of January to partake in the 2022 Youngstown State University Mid-Major Invitational. After that, Pitt-Johnstown goes to Alliance, Ohio for the University of Mount Union – Jim Wuske Invitational on February 5th.
