Paige Greathouse Paces Women's Cross Country at 2022 PSAC Championships

Paige Greathouse finished 40th in a field of 165 runners to pace the Pitt-Johnstown women's cross country team at Saturday's 2022 PSAC Championships in Mansfield.  As a team, the Mountain Cats placed 15th out of 18 teams. Paige just narrowly missed All-PSAC honors by just 10 places and 19 secs. This is the highest female placing since Tori Fulkroad in 2017.

Edinboro's Kylie Anicic (21:09.3) and Kimberly Goerss (22:08.8) finished first and second, respectively, to help Edinboro win the team championship with 81 points, six points better than second-place Seton Hill.

Paige Geathouse finished 40th with a time of 24:18.2 to lead Pitt-Johnstown top-five runners.  Jenna Smith placed 85th at 25:50.3, while Alexandra Walton finished 122nd at 26:46.0.  Lacey Greathouse's (27:07.8) placed 125th and Bethany Bednez was 134th (29:06.5) for the Mountain Cats.

Edinboro (81 points), Seton Hill (87 points), Lock Haven (98 points), Slippery Rock (123 points), and Kutztown (149 points) were the top-five teams in the 2022 championships.  Pitt-Johnstown was 15th with 431 points. This is the team's best scoring since joining the PSAC in 2013-2014.
