Bob Rukavina's Pitt-Johnstown men's basketball team was ranked fourth in the Atlantic Region with the NCAA released its first Regional Rankings of the 2021-22 season on Wednesday.
Based on games played through Sunday, the Mountain Cats were 18-5 overall against Division II teams and 18-5 against Atlantic Region teams.
Indiana (PA), West Liberty (WV), Fairmont State (WV), Pitt-Johnstown, and California (PA) were the top-five teams in the initial Atlantic Region Rankings.
The top eight ranked teams in each region in the final NCAA Regional Rankings earn spots in the 2022 NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament that begins on March 11.
