Six Pitt-Johnstown softball players were named 2021-22 NCAA Division II Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors when the national coaches association announced this year's recipients on Monday.

Pitt-Johnstown's honorees include: Alyssa Hileman (SR, RHP), Cassidy Kern (SR, INF), Hailei Markee (SR, OF), Julia Mooney (FR, C), Carly Santillo (SR, C), and Julie Shinavski (SO, RHP).

To qualify for scholar-athlete honors, student-athletes needed to have a 3.5 or higher during the 2021-22 academic year.

In all, 7,527 collegiate student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, and Junior College were named 2021-22 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, including 1,646 from NCAA Division II schools.
