D'Youville (NY) University took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break, then added two more second half goals on it way to defeating the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team, 3-0, in a non-conference match, Monday afternoon in Buffalo, NY.
The Saints jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 15
th minute on Avery Grondin's off of an assist from Arthur Da Salva.
It stayed that way until D'Youville added a pair of unassisted goals in the second half, one in the 57
th minute from Felipe Santos and the final goal from Felipe Pugas with eight minutes remaining in regulation.

PJ Derksen suffered the loss after allowing all three goals. Derksen faced 17 shots and made four saves, while D'Youville goalkeeper Ethan Picard picked-up the shutout after holding Pitt-Johnstown scoreless on six shots. Picard made two saves.
Pitt-Johnstown returns home to host Washington Adventist (MD) in a non-conference match on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before opening PSAC-West play at Slippery Rock on September 17.
