Head Coach Niki (Cognigni) Pecora and the Pitt-Johnstown softball team have been picked to finish sixth in the PSAC Western Division when the conference office released its 2023 Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday.)

Mercyhurst received four first-place votes and was selected by the coaches to win the Western Division, while Seton Hill and California (PA) received three and two first-place votes, respectively.  In the Eastern Division, Shippensburg garnered five first-place votes and sits atop the preseason poll.  Kutztown earned three first-place votes and Bloomsburg got one first-place vote.
