The Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team returns home to host a PSAC West match against Slippery Rock on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for noon.
Pitt-Johnstown, under
Coach Eric Kinsey, is 3-5-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the PSAC West after getting a goal from
Anson Portzline in a 1-1 draw at Seton Hill on Wednesday. In his first start of the season,
PJ Derksen made three saves.
Coach Kevin Wilhelm's (6
th year) Slippery Rock squad made it two straight wins and improved to 4-5-4 overall and 3-3-0 in the PSAC West with a 3-0 victory over California (PA) on Wednesday.
Aitor Jorde had a goal and two assists for the Rock.
After suffering a 4-1 PSAC West road loss to Slippery Rock in last season's first meeting on Sept. 17, Pitt-Johnstown secured a 2-2 draw against the Rock in Johnstown on Oct. 15.
Alexzander Toto and
Josh Sollars accounted for the Mountain Cats' goals.
The Mountain Cats will wrap-up the 2023 home schedule with a PSAC match against Mercyhurst on Wednesday at 4 p.m., before closing out the season with a pair of road matches.
