
Slippery Rock took an early 1-0 lead, then added a pair of second half goals to secure a 3-0 PSAC Western Division victory over the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team, Saturday afternoon at Central Cambria High School. The Mountain Cats slipped to 3-6-1 overall and 1-5-1 in conference-play.

Luke Gildea finished an Artur Pla Hernandis assist in the 17
th minute to give the Rock a 1-0 lead it took into the halftime break.
Slippery Rock then got a pair of goals from Aitor Jorde in the second half. Gildea set up Jorde 15 minutes into the second half that made it 2-0, before Jorde added an unassisted goal with 26 minutes to play that set the final at 3-0.

PJ Derksen faced 14 shots, made six saves, but allowed all three goals, while The Rock's Adam Davies played the first 83 minutes in goal and held the Mountain Cats scoreless. Davies save five shots and made three saves to earn the victory. Duncan McCoy closed out the game in goal and didn't make a save.
With the win, Slippery Rock improved to 5-5-4 overall and 4-3-0 in the PSAC West.
Pitt-Johnstown will host a PSAC West match against No. 19 Mercyhurst on Wednesday, before visiting California (PA) for a conference match on Saturday.
