
Following the program's third consecutive berth in the PSAC Tournament and a second straight trip to the conference quarterfinals, Head Coach
Mike Drahos' Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team was selected to finish fifth in the Western Division when the conference released the 2023-24 Preseason coaches' Poll on Thursday.
California (PA) received five first-place votes and is picked to win the Division, while Gannon got two first-place votes, and Indiana (PA) and Pitt-Johnstown each received on first-place vote. In the PSAC Eastern Division, West Chester received eight of the nine first-place votes and sits atop the division. Kutztown got one first-place vote and is picked to finish second in the East.



The Mountain Cats will be led by 2022-23 Second-Team All-PSAC West guards
Peyton Alazaus (14.5 ppg., 4.7 rpg., 2.3 3FG/Game) and
Olivia Fasick (11.4 ppg., 3.8 rpg., 5.1 apg. rpg.) and senior sharp-shooter
Hayden Taylor (9.5 ppg., 2.3 rpg.).
However, Pitt-Johnstown must replace forward
Ashley Norling, the team's leading scorer (14.6 ppg.) and rebounder (7.8 rpg.), and top defender
Makalyn Clapper, who were both lost to graduation.
