Cassidy Crawford poured in a career-high 22 points, and
Hayden Taylor's basket with :10 to play completed a 16-point second half Mountain Cat comeback to lift Pitt-Johnstown to a 62-60 victory over the hosts in Saturday's second round of the Frostburg State Jim Crawley Conference Crossover in Frostburg, MD. Pitt-Johnstown is 2-0.
Crawford finished her career day with 22 points on 8-16 shooting, four 3-pointers and six rebounds, while Taylor added 14 points to pace the Mountain Cats. Pitt-Johnstown also got 13 points from
Peyton Alazaus, five points and eight boards from

Frostburg State shot 57% in the opening quarter and ran out to a 16-8 lead seven minutes in on Alana Tate's layup and free-throw. Three-pointers from Alazaus and
Cassidy Crawford quickly got the Mountain Cats back to within a basket, but a Maggie Sharp jumper with under a minute to go, put the Bobcats on top, 18-14 after one quarter.
Back-to-back buckets in the paint from Franklin and knotted it 18 to begin the second quarter, but Pitt-Johnstown cooled off. Frostburg took advantage and outscored the Mountain Cats 16-7 over the final eight minutes to build a 34-25 halftime lead on Mandy Roman's 3-pointer and Sharp's jumper at the 1:28 mark.

Six straight points from Jenna Muha kept the momentum with the Bobcats to begin the second and helped Frostburg State increase it to 42-26. The Mountain Cats responded with a 16-7 run, including a pair of Crawford 3-pointers and two free-throws from Taylor, over the last 6:17 of the quarter to narrow the gap to 49-42.
Pitt-Johnstown kept battling back. Taylor's conventional 3-point-play with 8:05 left in regulation cut it to three, and her 3-pointer at 1:24 made it 60-58. The Mountain Cats then completed the comeback and tied it at 60 on Crawford's layup with :40 to go, before Taylor's game-winner with :10 remaining lifted Pitt-Johnstown to the victory.
The Mountain Cats were able to overcome a 32% shooting by hitting eight 3-pointers and going 14-19 from the line, while holding Frostburg State to just 3-13 from behind the arc. The Bobcats did go 11-11 from the charity stripe.
Tate's 20 points and six rebounds and Muha's 19 points and eight rebounds led the way for Frostburg State, now 1-1 to start the year.
