Tinashe Katsande and James Pool each netted three goals to lead the fifth-ranked Gannon Golden Knights to a 10-0 PSAC Western Division victory over the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer in Friday's season finale for the Mountain Cats in Erie.  Pitt-Johnstown closed out the 2023 season at 4-9-1 overall and 2-7-1 in conference-play.
 
Pitt-Johnstown withstood an early barrage from Gannon, but the Golden Knights eventually took control.
 
Katsande scored two of his three goals in the first half to give Gannon a 6-0 halftime advantage, before Pool tallied two of his three goals in the second half to give the Golden Knights the victory.
 
PJ Derksen took the loss for the Mountain Cats after allowing six goals, while making five saves.  Jacob Tichnell played 33 minutes in the second half, made five saves, and gave up three goals.  Sage Parsley was in net the final 13 minutes, made one save and surrendered one goal.
 
Gannon improved to 16-0-2 overall and 9-0-1 in the PSAC West.
