
Sophia Lamesta and
Haley Neidig each scored goals to help the Pitt-Johnstown's women's soccer team come away with a 2-2, non-conference draw West Liberty (WV) on Sunday. The Mountain Cats are now 0-1-1.
Pitt-Johnstown jumped out to a 1-0 lead 20 minutes into when Lamesta finished an assist from
Abby Jackson, but West Liberty answered to tie it with six minutes remaining in the opening half on Asia Espiritu's unassisted goal.
Neidig gave the Mountain Cats the led back with her second goal of the season 15 minutes into the second half off of second assist of the afternoon.
However, Amelia Compston was able to beat Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper
Parker Grimm with just over four minutes to play to know it at two.

Grimm faced 14 Hilltopper shots, made three saves and allowed a pair of goals, while West Liberty goalkeeper Libby Finn saw 16 shots from the Mountain Cats, allowed two goals, and made five saves.
The Hilltoppers are now 0-1-1.
Pitt-Johnstown begins PSAC-West action with a trip to Slippery Rock on Wednesday, before returning home to host a conference match against Gannon on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
